Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 21, 2026
BoatOBJ, LLC ("BoatOBJ," "we," "us," or "our") operates the BoatOBJ website, web application, and mobile application (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Account information: your name and email address when you create an account.
Order and project information: shipping/business address, phone number, company and contact details, and boat details (make, model, year, and length) you provide to fulfill an order.
Uploaded content: video footage and files you upload of your boat and its canvas/upholstery so we can process them into 3D model output.
Payment information: processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full card number; we retain limited billing metadata (e.g., subscription status and transaction identifiers).
Technical information: log data, device/browser type, and usage information collected automatically to operate and secure the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
To process your orders and deliver the resulting 3D model files.
To process payments and manage subscriptions.
To send transactional email (order status, password resets, receipts).
To provide customer support and communicate with you.
To maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
To improve the quality and accuracy of our service. We use uploaded footage and generated output to review, test, and improve our processing over time, so that future results are more accurate for all users.
To comply with legal obligations.
Our basis for using your content to improve the Service is our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving service quality. Where required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent, and you may object to this use as described in Section 7.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers ("subprocessors") that help us operate the Service, and only as needed:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of BoatOBJ or others.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account and order information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and to comply with our legal obligations.
Uploaded videos and generated files are retained indefinitely. In addition to fulfilling and supporting your order, we keep this content on an ongoing basis to maintain and improve the quality and accuracy of our service, as described in Section 2.
If you request deletion of your data (see Section 7), we will delete or de-identify the information that identifies you. We may retain uploaded footage and generated files in anonymized form — with identifiers such as your name, email, address, and order details removed so the content is no longer associated with you — for continued service-improvement purposes. Anonymized data is not personal data and may be retained indefinitely.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies and similar browser storage technologies (such as local storage) only as needed to operate the Service. These are limited to essential purposes, including keeping you signed in, maintaining your session, and remembering your preferences and in-progress activity.
We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or cross-site tracking. Essential cookies and storage are required for the Service to function; if you disable them in your browser, parts of the Service may not work correctly.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and encrypted storage. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Access, update, or correct your account information from within the app.
